Cookbook: Enzyme

On-line show: Friday January 28, 2022

Suggestion: Enzyme

(I don’t quite know or understand what enzymes are. So the associations may be out there.)

A mob of enzymes, their leader tells them he thinks they have arrived in the gut, and need to get to work. One enzyme (a French one) feels lazy and would rather drink wine. The leader argues that if they don’t get to work their host will die and so will our hero enzymes. The French enzyme remains defiant.

A character (a soldier perhaps? where?) is talking to themselves, trying to find the courage for a fight but concludes he does not have the guts.

A song titled “I don’t have the guts”.

A confused expose (by a Wine maker – same character as the French enzyme) on how bacteria make wine, and that wine drinkers basically drink bacteria excrement.

A baker musing the fact that what makes a croissant crustyness is not caused by yeast, but by steam. (true BTW – also true for crunchy bread crusts)

Butter arguing that it accounts for the great taste of croissants.

A rowdy French character (reprise of the French enzyme/wine maker) praising France, the French, its culture and their president.

Curtain.

Cookbook?

In case you are wondering: this is a summary of a solo performance of my format “Cookbook”. More about that in this blog post.
